Finally we have the first show of 2018 available! Spot is at it again and like always the sound is exceptionally good. Bob delivers a sweet performance, with the classic band that follows him for more than five years. This year we are marking the 30th anniversary of the Never Ending Tour, Bob constant touring around the world since Concord, CA, June 7th 1988. In 30 years, Bob radically changed his style and voice multiple times, releasing 14 studio albums (from Down In The Groove to Triplicate), and playing almost 3000 concerts.
Bob and his Band are grooving in Portugal, and the crow is loving it. Bob’s voice is at the same level than last year at the Beacon Theatre. While the set is still static, we see fewer Sinatra covers and more of his own repertoire. However, the only Sinatra song (Why Try To Change Me Now) is still a sublime gem that encapsulates everything that is Bob in his twilight years.
Here is the review given at boblinks.com:
Dylan’s performance was stunning, his vocals were absolutely magnific. ‘’Don’t think twice’’ gave me goosebumps, but ‘’Why try to change me now’’ put me literally into tears ( this 2 were definitely my favorites, but how great they all were!). Every fiber in my body returns to 1999 where I’ve first seen him (Lisbon Arena), it’s amazing to testify that after 19 years in that exact same place he still improves in such a majestic way, brilliant artist!
